Emphasises that this work should be furthered, informs the Royal Society that funds have been gathered, and discusses creating a board to advise the Secretary of State on how to allot this money. Suggests that the Board should consist of two representatives from the Crown colonies (at least one connected to West Africa), a member of the Royal Society, the Medical Advisor of the Colonial Office, a London physician, and two members of the Colonial Office. Asks the Royal Society to select its representative, and suggests Sir [Michael] Foster. |
