TitleLetter from Arlie V. Bock, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, to Joseph Barcroft
Date20 October 1921
DescriptionBarcroft's suggestions have been taken care of and Binger will see gas tanks loaded onto the ship. Harrop, Binger, Redfield and he will bring whatever special apparatus they need and he encloses a list of general requirements. Redfield will requisition glassware and reagents will be packed by a chemical house. A centrifuge has been ordered from Paris at 600 francs and they are buying another stopwatch. Dr. Henderson has contributed an additional $800. Binger and Harrop have around $1,200 each. Redfield has given up on the idea of movie filming because the x-ray department will be expensive. General Electric are assembling x-ray equipment. Boxes of apparatus have arrived with Redfield's books, Bock's books have not yet come. His blood volume work is just started and Redfield has his gas chain working. They should get much work done in Peru. Redfield will cable with news of the aeronoid and Harrop is getting a barometer.
