TitleLetter from Alfred Clarence Redfield, Harvard Club of Boston, to Joseph Barcroft
Date20 October 1921
DescriptionHe is cabling Barcroft with a request to bring an aneroid barometer, which Redfield has been unable to find. Harrop has bought a mercury barometer and is having it calibated and graduated for use at high altitudes. Bock is writing about various details and Henderson has made a donation of $800. Redfield is on the track of a fund to pay for x-ray accessories to operate with the machine that the General Electric Company is lending. Redfield is struggling with the gas chain. From his results it apears that calometric method figures do not differ greatly from those obtained by the hydrogen electrode. He will be relieved when preparations are over and notes that he did not continue with the movie project since they needed the time more than the money.
