DescriptionEnglish translation by unknown translator of Le Febvre's paper. Le Febvre describes an unsuccessful attempt to volatilise tartar by mixing it with rainwater and potassium carbonate, allowing it to evaporate, and then mixing the resulting substance with an alum. Original French manuscript found at CLP/11i/3.
