DescriptionPaper regarding experiments made on poisonous water steeped with cherry laurel at Toppingo [Toppinghoe] Hall in Essex. Mortimer injected the water or fed the water by mouth to dogs of various sizes and ages to observe how the poison affected their bodies during and after death. A letter recounting further experiments carried out by R Porter and incorporated into this paper is found at CLP/11ii/19.
