Description'Strange physical description of a mass of flesh weighing 42 and one quarter pounds, found in the stomach of a woman who had carried the mass for 24 years'. Offprint from the 'Journal des sçavans', printed in Paris on Wednesday, 13 May 1693. The paper provides a detailed description from the autopsy and experimentation on an ultimately fatal tumour found in the stomach of a woman who died at the age of 47 after carrying the tumour for 25 years. Includes original figure of tumour.
