Minutes of the last meeting read.

Reported by Mr Pellat the furnace was complete and ready to work.
Ordered;
1. Application to be made through the Board of Longitude to the Board of Excise requesting ' that such directions may be given to the Officers of Excise attending at Messrs Pellatt and Green's Glass House as may enable them to permit the joint Committee of the Board of Longitude and Royal Society to commence their Experiments on the manufacture of Glass for optical purposes. '
2. Committee to meet at the Glass House to begin their experiments on Monday 30 May and that notices be sent accordingly
3. Mr Faraday's name to be added to the Committee
4. Mr Herschel, Mr Dollond and Mr Faraday to form a Sub-Committee to superintend the proceedings at the Glass House.
