' To consider a letter from Colonel Strange to PRS dated 16 June 1869 on the subject of establishing Standard Instruments for determining Atmospheric Pressure and Temperature. Resolved - That Colonel Strange's Letter be referred to a Committee, who may advise the Council as to the course it may be expedient to take in regard to it; the Committee to consist of the President and Officers, with Mr Gassiot and Captain Richards. '
