Matters discussed;
1. Apologies for absence from Sir Alfred Ewing, Colonel Kitson Clark and Sir Henry Fowler

2. ' The Report of the Sub-Committee, appointed in July 1931, was read by Sir Frank Smith and seconded by Sir Archibald Denny. Emphasis was laid on the fact that it was the particular wish of Lady Parsons that a plaque should be provided in Westminster Abbey. Also pointed out that the architects had expressed their willingness to consider any suggestions put forward by the Committee in order to make the London House Library more appropriate as a memorial to Sir Charles Parsons. It was unanimously agreed that no permanent Library Committee should be set up. '

3. The Report was extensively discussed, including which institutions should be included where the lecture was to be delivered, ansd it was agreed that it was desirable to have a lecture on the NE Coast once in four years.

4. Agreed, on Mr Fraser Smith's suggestion, the matter should be left to an executive committee

5. Report accepted by meeeting

6. In considering the form of the Appeal, paragraph 4 was amended [amendment listed]

7. Procedure recommended by the sub-committee of inviting directors of the big power companies to meet the President of the Royal Society in small informal groups outlined by Sir Frank Smith, supported by Sir Robert Hadfield

8. Agreed to re-elect the present Sub-Committee as an Executive Committee on the suggestion of Mr Hamilton Gibson

9. The importance of all members using all their influence to obtain support urged by Sir Frank Smith
