Mattes discussed;
1. Need to settle the question of the number of institutions by whom lectures were to be given. After discussion it was resolved ' That the management of the lecture be in two divisions, a lecture every fourth year on the North East Coast to intercalate with three successive lectures in London (a) The London Lecture to be given by the Institutions of Electrical Engineeers, Mechanical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Naval Architects, The Institute of Marine Engineers and the Physical Society, the arrangements to be in the hands of the Royal Society who will invite these Institutions in turm to nominate the lecturer. (b) The North East Coast Lecture to be given by the North East Coast Institution of Engineers and Shipbuilders in Scotland, the arrangements and choice of a site for the delivery of a lecture, to be in the hands of the North East Coast Institution of Engineers and Shipbuilders. '

2. Some amendments [listed] made to the wording of the Appeal. On Sir Archibald Denny's suggestin that ' the appeal should embody an explanation of the London House Memorial Scheme, it was resolved, to write to Mr Goodenough and ask him for a short description of the London House Scheme '

3. Discussed the procedure for raising money from the power companies
