Committee business, including a review of a survey on the field of physiology and medical sciences indicating a need for electronic equipment, electron microscopes, centrifuges, spectroscopes etc; animals for experimentation, x-ray equipment, glassware, isotopes and special reagents. Suggestion for a central histological laboratory for the UK. Consideration of subjects for research: radiation studies, viruses in tropical medicine, veterinary research on larger animals, dental research. Recommendation to encourage research between universities and national institutes. Recommendation that a 'neutral' body such as the Royal Society be given funds for grant administration. Discussion on translation of Russian language articles. p58-59.
