Committee business, including a report on the work on aircraft dope; a report that one firm was contemplating taking up the manufacture of cellulose acetate; a report that the Explosives Department had agreed to raise the grant for those engaged in the tar testing work; consideration of suggestions arising from the conference of drug workers, including the preparation of 'lists of chemicals...tabulating the manufacturing sources in this country from which these chemicals could be obtained'; reports on applications for information regarding the preparation of synthetic drugs by Burroughs Wellcome & Co, the Cooper Laboratory, Messers Boots and Messers Strange & Graham; decision to defer the question of organising the production of research chemicals apart from drugs, 'rendering the chemists of this country independent of the well-known alien enemy sources of supply'. p37-9.
