Notes that 32 institutions had expressed willingness to help [in drug manufacture] -- 3 had declined due to staff depletions; results of an interview with the Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Society and Mr Anderson of the National Insurance Commission as to which substances would be needed; discussion on the difficulties of manufacture of substances, the use of trade names, remuneration for researchers, overlapping of work with other organisations; a request put to the Secretary for information on the possibility of making novocain and dimethylglyoxine; other business. Includes a list of subjects referred to the War Committee by the physics, chemistry and engineering sub-committees. p1-3.
