1. Read and signed minutes of previous meeting

2. Read a reference of Council ' The Secretaries having reported that the Sectional Committee for Physiology had made the following Report to the Committee of Papers:- Minute of the Physiology Sectional Committee dated 30 January 1902 - The general question of the form of papers suitable for publication in the "Proceedings" having arisen, the following resolutions were moved by the Chairman a) that although every paper must be considered on its merits, this Committee recommend that any strict adherence to the custom of limiting the length of "Proceedings" papers is to be deprecated b) The division of the "Proceedings" into two series, A and B, and an increase of the size of the page would also be considered desirable. After discussion the resolutions were carried, and it was Resolved to report to the Council accordingly. It was - Resolved - That the Report be communicated for information to the Committee appointed on November 27 last to consider the functions of Sectional Committees. '

3. Letter read from Mr Boys apologising for his absence and stating his views upon the suggestions which had been circulated to the Committee.

4. Suggestions for discussion by Professor Armstrong were considered and discussed. Printed paper by Professor Armstrong of suggestons for discussion, on the Constitution of Committees, the Selection of Candidates, Medals, Foreign Members and Initiation of Enquiries, pasted into the minutes. Agreed that the functions of Sectional committees should be first discussed before taking their constitution into consideration.

5. Discussed the suggestions regarding the award of medals, the selection of Foreign Members and selection of Candidates, and further consideration adjourned to the next meeting of the Committee on Thursday 19 March 1903.
