1. Read and signed minutes fo previous meeting

2. Read letter from Professor W A Bone of 19 January 1917 concerning enlistment of research chemists and chemical students in training. [Transcript included in the minutes] The Committee decided to refer it to Council

3. Three applicatins from chemists for recommmendtion for the Society's exemptions considered successfully; A B Wilson; H C Wild; R H Truelove

4. Applications for confirmation of recommendations made during 1916 considered and decided for postponement -
4.1 Messrs Leslie French and Cecil Godfrey
4.2 E A Rudge

5. After discussion of letter from Colonel C E Cassal of 11 January 1917, it was agreed that the decision of June 27th 1916 with respect to exemption of H Gerrans could not be altered

6. After discussion of letter relating to the exemption of P W Felton, employed by Ronuk Limited, it was agreed to repeat the recommendation contained in the Society's letter to the Military Representative of 22 December 1916 to the Portslade Local Tribunal

7. Letter from the Cornbrook Chemical Co. of 22 January 1917 discussed and agreed that nothing further could be done with respect to T G Northwood, who had been recommended for provisional exemption under Resolution 2 on 6 December 1916
