1. Read and signed minutes of previous meeting

2. Five applictions upon which conflicting opinions had been formed were submitted to the Committee for decision;

2d. Mr J Ogilvie

3. Case of Herbert Lorenz - recommend a postponement of his call to the Colours until 1 January 1917

4. Resolved 'that in cases where notice is received that exemption certificates, granted on the recommendation of the Royal Society, are to be revised, the claim of the candidate shall be revised by this Committee.'

5. After discussion of the contents of a letter from the Ministry of Munitions dated 20 October 1916, it was resolved that 'in the cases of men recommended for postponement under Resolution 2, enquiries should be made unofficiallty, as to the needs of other Government departments, and in the meantime that lists of the men's names should be sent in from time to time to the Ministry of Munitions in accordance with the usual practice. '
