Lists committee business, including the appointment of R H Biffen, Gertrude Dixon, Col Sir Frederic Nathan and Sir David Prain of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew; a report indicating that surplus brewer's yeast is being 'converted into valuable food by the Marmite Company' and that the Marmite Company has offered to set up drying plants near large brewing centres; the committee's agreement 'that the offer of the Marmite Company' deserves careful consideration; consideration of information from A V Hill of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew on 'spanish rice' and the committee's decision that the plant 'would not deserve cultivation'; a memo from Gertrude Dixon on cereal substitutes used in Sweden; a report from A Chaston Chapman on the value of dog fish as a food source, and the Committee's decision to recommend that the Board of Agriculture arrange for facilities to be given over to fishing. p5-6.
