DescriptionThe Brian Mercer Awards comprise two distinct types of award as well as a prize. The Brian Mercer Award for Innovation funds the development of an already proven concept or prototype through to the creation of a near-market product for commercial exploitation. The Brian Mercer Award Feasibility Award enables the technical and economic feasibility of commercialising an aspect of scientific research to be explored. The remit of the awards is in the topic areas of the built environment, energy and clean techonology and nanoscience/nanotechnology. In addition, one Brian Mercer Feasibility Award annually is in the area of electrotechnology.
