1. Read and signed minutes of the previous meeting on 6 February 1902

2. Received and considered the Report of the Marey Sub-Committee [see attached]

3. Proposal by Professor Forsyth, seconded by Sir Thomas Lockyer and resolved 'That the opinion of the International Council be sought as to whether the marey Institute is an International enterprise of such a character that the States of the constituent Academies should be approached with a view to obtaining state assistance for its maintenance.'

4. Resolution 'That in accordance with the recommendations of the Sub-Committee, questions 1, 2 and 3, be addressed to the International Council, question 3 being amended as follows ; With regard to the second recommendation of Professor Marey's Committee, your Sub-Committee recommend that the Chairman of the International Council should bring it before the Council, and request them to consider whether, and by what procedure, any such claims for assistance to objects approved by the Association should be brought before the Association. '

5. After postponement of the consideration of the last paragraph in the report, the Chairman undertook to report on the whole matter to the Council of the Royal Society.

6. Considered arrangements for the General Assembly of 1904, and resolved ' to consult the International Council as to the best period of the year for meeting, Easter and Whitsuntide being suggested as alternatives. '

7. Provisionally agreed the meetings fo the Assembly to occupy three days, and thqt they should be held at the Royal Society.

8. Resolved 'That the decisions arrived at at this meeting be embodied in a letter to be sent by the Chairman to the International Council. '
