TitleLetter from Sir David Bruce, Surgeon-General, to F B Pearce, Hon Deputy Governor, Nyasaland [Malawi], Zomba
Date8 August 1912
DescriptionHas received Pearce's letter with estimated costs of an experiment involving the fencing in of big game to study the effects on tsetse flies. Suggests that an experiment to limit the fly by eliminating its food source is not likely to succeed, unless elaborate measures were taken at great expense to ensure that the flies were destroyed. Suggests a small scale experiment enclosing three miles of land, under supervision of the District Resident. p56.
