DescriptionLists members present -- J Rose Bradford, H G Plimmer, and F W Mott in the Chair. Lists Committee business -- 1. The signing of the previous minutes. 2. Letters from the Colonial Office agreeing to the proposed date of departure for Col Bruce's research team; a telegram from the Governor of Uganda indicating that the laboratory and accommodation arrangements will be completed by August, and another letter sent in August giving details of the completed site; a letter granting leave to Sir David Bruce and Capt Hamerton and Bateman. 3. Correspondence over a proposed conference between local administrators and medical officers in Uganda and East African protectorates. 4. A letter from Sir David Bruce indicating that the Commission had repeated Dr Kleine's experiments with flies and found them infective. 5. A letter from Sir David Bruce enclosing samples of blood and drawings of parasites -- resolution to ask E A Minchin to investigate the specimens and drawings with a view to their publication. 6. Consideration of reports from the Colonial Office on sleeping sickness and Horse Sickness. 7. A letter indicating that Dr Morgan of the Royal College of Science has prepared some arsenic compounds 'which might have advantages over atoxyl' in treating sleeping sickness. 8. An oral report from the Therapeutical Sub-committee. 9. appointment of Dr Harden to the Therapeutical Sub-committee. p10-11.
