1. Minutes of meeting on 23 March 1944 confirmed
2. Lists amendments to item 3 recommendations of the previous meeting and a new recommendation to be listed as 3.8
3. Resolved to make the following recommendations;
3a That the Society would welcome and support the establishment by industry of open research fellowships of the value of £400 to £600 a year to be held in the universities or university colleges
3b That the maintenance of the closest contact between universities and research institutions be regarded as most desirable: and that such collaoration would be most valuable in making a concerted attack on problems of major importance.
3c That in order to aid post-war research in this country there be maintained close collaboration with the universities and research institutions in the Dominions, the Colonies and India.
3d That the training of technical assistants be regarded as a matter of primary importance.

4. It was agreed that in submitting the report of the committee to the Council of the Royal Society only a summary of the estimate of costs be given.
