1. Minutes of previous meeting read and signed

2. Sir Michael Foster stated that ' he had an opportunity of priviately consulting Lord Davey on the general question of the legal limitations of the scope of the Society and, at the request of the Committee, read a letter which he had received from Lord Davey on the subject . 3. The Committee proceeded to discuss the outlines of a Report to the Council and laid down the general lines upon which such a Report should be framed, and it was resolved, that a draft Report for presentation to the Council based upon the material furnished in the seveal memoranda already presented to the Committee be prepared for the consideration of the Committee at its next meeting to be held after Easter. '
