Gives committee business -- the signing of the last meeting's minutes, final adoption of the memo on 'The Food Supply of the Nation' -- agreement on the publication of the bread digestibility report as a Parliamentary paper -- consideration of Hardy's memo on sugar importation -- discussion of a note from D Noel Paton on fatty acids -- a resolution that the committee had 'no physiological objection' to an order on meatless days -- consideration of a letter from G Udny Yule asking for information on the caloric intake from cereals needed to compensate for meat reduction -- a resolution to recommend rolled rye as a foodstuff 'if obtainable at a reasonable price', with the report on its nutritional value attached. p190-197.
