3. Annual statement read by Professor Judd

4. Authorized the Chairman to apply to the Council for permission ' to arrange for the publication of the results of the expeditions n the Philosophical Transactions, the Committee being of the opinion that the cost woud probably be much the same as that of the Krakatoa report. '

5. Agreed that ' Professor Jedd should be authorized to return halves of the cores to the authorities in New South Wales if requested to do so before the next meeting of the Committee. '

6. Annual Statement of the work of the expedition - includes events taking place annually since 1896; Summary of the work done on the Core from the Main Boring; preliminary statement of resuilts in case of the main boring; preliminary statement fo results as regards the Lagoon boring; other materials already sent to England or shortly expected; for comparison.
