2. Letter and telegram to Professor Sruart read
3. Announcements; 3.1 Council placed Captain Field on the Committee 3.2 Council had granted £20 to cover expenses as requested
4. Proposed by Chairman, seconded by Sir John Evans and carried that Profesor Hollas to take charge of expedition to Funafuti as Naturalist; Profesor Foster to write to Director General of the Geological Survey so that approporiate leave may be graned.
5. Proposed by 'Professor Judd, seconded by Sir John Evans and carried that Professor Foster to contact Admiralty re possibility of accommodating a second naturalist on the vessel.
6. Resolutions made concerning the work of the naturalists - re samples of water from different depths in the lagoon and from the open sea; and Plankton observations could not be done without a second naturalist; magnetic observations to be left to the ship's officers; inland and shore collecting and dredging in the lagoon to be done if duties permit; meteorological observations should also be made; Earth-Tremor observations should not be attempted
7. Sdmiral Wharton to look into the estimates again
8. If boring struck volvcanic rock decided to carry on for 10 further feet
