1. Read and signed minutes of last meeting

2. ' The Committee considered a statement read by Colonel Tandy with reference to restricting the expenses of the geodetic and magnetic survey in India and it was agreed to appoint a Sub-Committee to report on the matter.

It was further agreed that the Sub-Committee be constituted as follows: - Sir Frank Dyson (Chairman); Dr C Chree; Mr J H Jeans; Sir Gerald Lenox-Conyngham; Sir Arthur Schuster; Dr G C Simpson; and Sir Gilbert Walker: with Profesor S Chapman and Dr A Crichton Mitchell as co-opted members.

3. The Committee agreed to inform the India Office of their willingness to appoint a Sub-Committee to report: and that it was thought advisable to delay the report until January next so that full consideration might be given to Volume XIX of "The Magnetic Survey of India" recording the work of 1901-1920. '
