Mattters discussed;
1. After considering a letter from Mr Norman Yarrow, and in view of the fact that Mr Yarrow had to hire a special tutor from England for his son, John who had been in indifferent health, it was resolved ' To make a grant not exceeding £150 towards the expenses of such tuition: this grasnt not to invalidate in the slightest degree the offer of a grant of £200 for three years for assisting the education of Mr John Yarrow. '

2. Reported no other applications for educational assistance had been received.
