Matters discussed;
1. Read and confirmed minutes of last meeting on 3 October 1946

2. After Sir Lawrence Bragg had drawn attention to the desirability of wider publicity being given to the announcements regarding vacancies in the Mackinnon Research Studentship, it was resolved to ' recommend to Council that in future the advertising agents for "Nature" be asked to insert such announcements in three issues instead of one only as hitherto. '

3. Considered applicants for the Mackinnon Research Studentship - K W Allen; E R Andrew; A S Baxter; B N Cole; F J M Farley; E W Forster; S Lustigman; L Mackinnon; E B Paul; E Rollinson; B H Thewlis; A Yoffe

4. The selected preliminary list of candidates of A S Baxter, F J M Farley, E W Foster, and A Yoffe were discussed, and it was resolved that the 'Mackinnon Research Studentship be awarded to Mr A Yoffe at a stipend of £500 a year together with superannuation, and that the appointment date from 1 April 1947. '
