DescriptionDecision reached by correspondence in March 1948 and agreed to recommend to Council that regulatins 1 and 3 governing the Mackinnon Research Studentship, as printed in the 1948 Year Book, page 126 be amended, as follows;
'1 The stipend of the Studentship shall not be less than £400 a year, with a superannuation allowance at the rate of ten percent of the stipend contributed by the Royal Society. The student will be required to contribute at the rate of five percent of his stipend towards superannuation.

3' Each appointment to a Studentship shall be in the first instance for two years, but may be renewed for such periods as Council shall determine. The total length of tenure of each appointment shall not normally exceed five years, but may in exceptional circumstances be extended. '
