Mattes discussed;
1. Read and signed minutes of the previous meeting

2. Mr Jeans reportred receipt fo a letter from Professor Niels Bohr declining the Committee's invitation to submit his name as a candidate for a Yarrow Professorship

3. Discussion of inadequacy of Regulation No. 5 regarding part time appointments, and agreed desirable to amend it ' so as to provide that a Professor should be unable to accept any new appointment without the knowledge and consent of Council. '

4. After submission of list of candidates and discussion, agreed to recommend to Council that Professorships be awarded to Professor A Fowler and Mr G I Taylor, subject to relevant regulations, and to 'satisfactory arrangements being made with regard to carrying out research at a place to be approved by the President and Council of the Royal Society as provided by Regulation 3. '
5. Agreed the following grant applications;
5.1 C N Kemp - refer applicant to Fuel Research Board
5.2 Professor H E Armstrong - refer applicant to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research
5.3 C G Schoneboom - refer applicant to Medical Research Council

5. Chairman on behalf of Committee expressed to Sir Alfred Yarrow ' their appreciation of his generosity which had enabled them to promote the advance of Science by the action taken at the Meeting. '
