1. Minutes - read and confirmed minues of meeting of 21 February 1947 and opinions by correspondence of March 1948, March 1949, August 1949 and February 1950

2. Grant to Mackinnon Student - £15 provided fromthe Joule Fund to enable Mr A Yoffe,Mackinnon Researcgh Student, to attend a summer school on the physics of solids at Bristol University in September 1948. Authorised by Council on 6 May 1948 at recommendation of the Chairman of the Yarrow research Fund Committee.

3. Report of Mackinnon Research Student - tenure by Dr A Yoffe ended on 31 March 1950 and Dr Yoffe had not asked for a renewal. Committe had received Dr Yopffe's report [Y/1(50)]

4. Appointment of Mackinnon Research Student - Committee considered 26 applicants in detail and agreed to invite to interview on Friday 21 July 1950 S A Barker; B H Briggs; C Gordon little.
