1. Minutes - read and confirmed minutes of meeting of 21 July 1950 and opinions by correspondence of October 1951 and July 1952

3. Mackinnon Research Studentship - consideration given to thirty applications and it was resolved that ' the Committee should meet on Friday 5 December to interview candidates F K Duxbury, R C Jennison, H M Rosenborg

4. Change of name of Committee - Sir David Brunt reported that Council would shortly be considering changing the name of the Yarrow Research Fund Committee to the Physical Sciences Research Committee as being more appropriate to its functions.
