Matters discussed;
1. Read and confirmed minutes of 13 November 1952

2. Mackinnon Research Studentship - F K Duxbury, R C Jennison and H M Rosenberg interviewed by the Committee and it was resolved that ' it be recommended to Council that Mr R C Jennison be appointed Mackinnon Research Student for two years in the first instance, from 1 January 1953, at a stipend of £500 a year together with superannuation allowance, to work on radio astronomy at the Jodrell Bank Experimental Station; and that the Committee, having formed a good opinion of the merit and promise of Dr F K Duxbury, recommend to Council that consideration should be given to the possibility of awarding a second studentship to enable Dr Duxbury to work at Cambridge on an investigation into the oxidation of 5:6-dihydroxyindole and allied catechol systems.
