Matters discussed;
1. Read and confirmed minutes of previous meeting

2. Sir James Irvine and Professor H Lamb sent their apologies for not attending

3. Considered application from Professor G I Taylor for renewal of his profesorship, and agreed it be renewed for five years from 1 December 1928

4. Considered application from Professor O W Richardson for renewal of his professorship, and resolved ' to express to Council their high appreciation of Professor Richardson's work, and to recommend the renewal of his appointment from 1 August 1928 for a period of 5 years, without holding a further meeting on the occasion when his application became due, provided that the situation was unchanged. '

5. Committee expressed their approval of the Secretary's general policy with reference to reguilation 5 governing research appointments.
