Discussed and agreed Professor A Fowler's application to renew his Professor ship fromits expiration in March 1934 until end of his College Session in September 1934, and further resolved ' to recommend to Council that the Committee's appreciation of his work as Yarrow Professor be expressed to Professor Fowler on the expiration of his Professorship.'
Resolved; a. to recommend to Council that ' Professor G I Taylor's Yarrow Professorship be renewed for a period of five years from 1 December 1933; and that Professor O W Richardson's Yarrow Professorship be renewed for a period of five years from 1 August 1934, subject to application being made in due course, provided that the situation be unchanged b. To report to Council 'that in the opinion of the Committee, the policy of appointing Yarrow Professors has been eminently successful, but that the financial osition of the Yarrow Research Fund is such that they do not feel justified in recommending the appointment of any successor to Professor A Fowler on his retirement until the income of the Fund justifies the re-consideration of the appointment of a third Yarrow Professor. They consider any surplus available shodl be added to the Yarrow Reserve Fund with a view to aiding any special research for which money is urgently required. ' c. To report to Council ' that the Committe, having reviewed the regulations governing the administration of the Fund, in detail, consider that no amendment or alteation of these regulations is required.
