Read letter of 21 April 1883 from the Treasury concerning the question of the distribution of the "Challenger " Report, and asks him to reconsider the lists of institutions provided in January and July 1882, in accordance with his comments in his letter.[Letter transcribed into minutes]

The Secretary to write to the Treasury asking for further information on the list of names they have been asked to comment on.

Reported;
1. Memoir on Reef Corals by Mr Quelch of the British Museum to be added to memoirs already sanctioned
2. Matter of the publication of the photographs of the Expedition [See Minutes of 30 March 1880] discussed and Mr Murray ' instructed to make inquiries as to the best means of issuing the photographs for sale in a form available for the public, without detriment to the vote, and to report thereon to the Committee. '
