1. Chairman reported receipt of letter from the Treasury on 13 April 1920 concerning the remaining stock of the Report of the Challenger Expedition. [Transcript of letter recorded in minutes] and the President' authorisation of an advertisement in Nature regarding the remaining sets. 2. After discussion applications from the advertisement were considered and it was decided to make recommendations regarding various institutions (listed); further enquiries to be made regarding other institutions (listed); that the Committe approve of the presentation of a complete set to the University of Louvain; that ten sets of reports be kept by the Treasury in reserve for presentation to those countries represented on the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea which do not already possess copies, and other special cases; and that the Committee ' did not see any objection to the remainder of the volumes being disposed of to booksellers for purpose of sale, but that they would deprecate the pulping of any volumes, and that if it is necessary to find accommodation for them the Committee would endiavour to assist the Stationery Office in doing so. '
