| Description | Committee established after a meeting on 17 December 1948 to discuss the setting up of an Abstracting Services Consultative Committee, 'primarily an informal arrangement for the convenience fo editors, giving them an occasion to meet and discuss common problems, with a view to improving theri sevices to the scientific community as a whole. The Committee is not an official co-operative body constituted by the abstracting organisations. '
