Sir Thomas Neile was sworn of the Council.

Ordered that the Operator make ready as soon as he can for two sets of instruments for trials at sea, according to the scheme annexed to Number 24 of the Philosophical Transactions. Asked about the cost, the answer was about forty shillings, excepting the fans for trying the strength of winds, which are only fit for use on land.

Ordered that Sir Anthony Morgan be asked by the Secretary to take care that Mr Cole may give no interruption to the passing of the Patent mentioned earlier.

Ordered that the Operator hire a small room near Arundel - house, on the waterside, convenient for Dr Lower to make anatomical experiments in, for use of the Society.

Ordered that the Secretary ask Sir Anthony Morgan to consider with him the best way of securing to the Society his conveyance of the ground in Arundel - house, for building a College upon, so as to make it valid in law, by collateral security or otherwise if need be.

The form for subscribing contributions to build a College for the Society was agreed upon, as follows;

Mr James Hayes subscribed forty pounds for the same end.

Both subscriptions were left with Mr Oldenburg.
