Ordered that Mr Hook find a man fit to be employed by him in the service of the Society, at five pounds for a quarter of a year, to begin from the time that Mr Hook shall declare to the President that he has taken such a one into service.

Agreed that if a fit person can be found as a Curator, he is to be paid for a quarter of a year to begin from next Michaelmas.

Mr Surveyor Wren proposed that some rich citizen might be found to take a lease of Chelsey [Chelsea] College upon the terms of building the house, and paying some rent besides. He was asked to make enquiries for a suitable person.
