The Declaration was read, and ordered to be read again the next Monday, for which time a Council will be Summoned again.
The vote whether the draft of the Bond as discussed at the last Council should pass into a Law, was unanimously passed.
Mr Hook was asked again to view the place in Morefields proposed by Sir Wiliam Petty as a suitable investment for the £400 legacy and to report to the Council at the next meeting.
The designated Collector of Arrears, Mr Barlow, presented himself to the Council and was asked to bring in security.
Persons to entertain the Society in December were suggested, namly Mr Wray, Mr Collins, Dr Smith. The Secretary was asked to contact others and particularly to name the times they might be available.
The Council approved Dr Plot's design of making a Survey of all England for compiling a History of Nature and Art.. The Secretary waas ordered to assist him in directing him to such of his correspondents up and down the country who would be likely to direct and instruct himi in this.
Sir William Petty, Mr Hoskins and Mr Hook were ordered to take care of the proposal for disposing of the $400 legacy upon the Houses and land in Morefields [Moorefields].
Ordered, that the observations and experiments registered be sorted and reduced to several lectures to be read at the Society upon occasion. |
