' The Duty and Obligation of the Library Keeper

1. The Library Keeper shall attend two dayes in the week
On Tuesday and Thursday
On Tuesday in the Morning from 9 to 12
On Thursday from 9 to 12. And on the Afternoon from 2 till the President takes the Chaire.

2. The Library Keeper shall not Lend out any Book, without an Order of the Council, or the President or Vice PResident in the Chaire.

3. That the Library Keeper shall make a perfect Catalogue of the Printed and Manuscripts Books, after the most usuall method.

4. The Library Keeper shall use no fire nor Candle in the Library.

5. He shall be provided alwaies of Pen, inck, and paper.

6. He shall give such Security to the Society for the keeping of the books as the Council shall accepot off.

Ordered that Mr Hooke have time till Thursday nedt to consider of these Proposaals, in order to returne his final Answer.

And upon his Refuseall, that Mr Perry have the Offer of the keeping of the Library. '

Mr Colwall to be asked to speak with Mr Cheney concerning Chelsey [Chelsea] College and to discover what intentions he has concerning that interest.
