The President reported on his negotiations with Sir Stephen Fox concerning Chelsey College.

Agreed and ordered that the President and Mr Evelyn be asked to treat with Sir Stephen Fox about selling the house and the whole concern of the College (Sir Stephen haveing by letter to the PResident, declared he would not treat for the house alone, without all the concerns of the Society in Chelsey). The President and Mr Evelyn are empowered to set a price for the house adn land, viz. £1500 if it may be agreed; but not under £1400. In case the last sum is not agreed to, the matter to be referred again to the Council. The PResident adn Mr Hook are asked to speak with Mr Lane, that he would please sort out the papers relating to the title, that they will be ready to produce to the Council.
