The President having been empowered by former orders to dispose by sale of Chelsey College with the appurtenances, reported that he had sold Chelsey College with all the lands appertaining to Sir Stephen Fox for His Majesty's use for £1,300 rready money to be paid by Sir Stephen Fox by one payment at the sealing of the conveyances.
The Council judged that the President had done service to the Society and approved the sale at the rate of £1,300 ready money and gave thanks to the President accordingly. Ordered that the papers relating to the title, be lodged in Councillor Baily's hand in order to give satisfaction to the Attorney General.
The President nd Mr Henshaw were asked to treat and agree with Mr Francklin concerning the ground of Chelsey College and to agree with him concerning the rent now due.
Mr Hill having treated with Dr Kornecke concerning his arrears being £28 19 shillings and he having proposed to give his bond for £20 to pay within a year, with a desire to withdraw from the Society for the future, it was ordered and asked that the treasurer shoudl agree with him accordingly and take his boond to hmself for the twenty pounds and give him a full dishcharge for the time past.
In pursuance of an order of 22 June 1681 it was desired and ordered that Mr Hill pay Mr Hooke the sum of £40. |
