Mr Flamstead was sworn of the Council;
The President gave an account of his proceedings regarding the disposla of Chelsey College. He was thanked, and asked to complete and finish that undertaking.
Mr Hill was asked to speak with Mr Edwin about depositing the Chelsea College money when it is received in the East India Company.
The Treasurer read ou the names of members who do not pay at all or ar in arrears. The Treasurer and two Secretaries were asked to meet the President and Sir John Hoskins at the President's house every Monday night, and they were appointed a Committee to consider all matters touching the arrears, and what they could do to recover the money, and to report the results to the Council.
Dr Wood reported Mr Sheridon proposed to pay down £30 of his arrears provided he might remain with the Society, and be excused from any further payment for the future. The proposal was rejected.
The answers of Mr Hoare and Dr Mills to their arrears were reported by Mr Colwall, and were left to be considered by the Committee.
The President moved that the answers made by serveral persons to such demands shold be registered in a book to be produced when the Council shall consider the affair.
Ordered that Mr Wicks salary to be paid for one year ending at last Christmas, and that a stop to be put to the salary of the Clerk and Operator for the future until the Council has further considerd and settled that affair. |
