' it was ordered tht mr Hunt should prepare a paper book wherein the persons who borrow books should be entred and the time when lent adn returned entred likewise.

It being Sir Godfrey Copley's desire that Mr Kirke should be excused for one Year to come of his weekly payments and the question being put it was carryed that he should be excused.

It was likewise ordered that no more Members should be excused for this Year.

The Question was put whether all those Gentlemen who are Members and are in Arrear of weekly payments shall be Excused to Michaelmas 1698. The voyces were equal.

Then the Question was put whether all those Gentlemen who are Members and are in Arrear of weekly payments shall be Excused to the 25th December 1698. It was carryed in the affirmative.

Dr Tyson proposed that Mr Cowper should be a Member of the Society.

Mr Southwell proposed Mr Edward Worth to be a Member of the Society and they were both approved of.

It was desired the Vice President should doe the Society the favour to make an Extract of the Sttutes of the Society so far as concerns the Duty of every Member.

It was considered what should be done in relation to the Arrears of weekly payments due from severall fellows of the Society and after debate and Mature deliberation, it was agreed and ordered that all the Arears due from the fellows unto the 25th of December 1698 should be remitted and that the Statutes obligeing them to pay to the Treasurer or whom he shall appoint at Gresham Colledg once a quarter these weekly Contributions from and after the aforesaid 25th December 1698 shall be put in Execution, So that those Members who doe not from that time comply will be ejected out of the Society according to the Statutes of the said Society. '
