The President, the two Secretaries Mr Colwall and Dr Tison appointed a committee for auditing the Treasurers accounts.

Concerning the laying out of the Society's stock to the best advantage, it was decided that £200 of Original stock to be bought in the African Company (figures given) Mr Hill to oversee the transaction and ensure a declaration by the African Company they hold the money in trust for the Society.

Mr Collins proposal, presented by Mr Hill ' concerning his undertaking to print a discourse of Dr Wallis (intitled A treatise of Algebra Historicall and Practicall written in the year 1676 by Dr Walllis and them be him sent to Mr John Collins to be communicated with others of the Royal Society, and since enlarged by him so as to contain not only a History but an Institution of Algebra according to severall methods hitherto in practice with many Additions of hiw own ) Provided the Treasurer in the name of the Society would ingage totake off 60 Coppy's at 1 1/2 [one and a half pence] per sheet. ' was approved. ' And to take Care that as many of the Society as were desirous to have the Treatise might be desired to Subscribe for it to take it from the Society at the same rate. '
