' The President Reported that he had waited upon his Grace the Duke of Norfolk about the Arrears of Rent due to the Society : who returning no positive Answer, your President was desired to attend him again.

The President laid before the Society severall Proposalls for their Settlement in case of their Removall from Gresham College : that which was most liked was the buying an house in Whitehall, which is now to be rebilt whereupon the Society desired that the President and Dr Christopher Wren would agree for the said house, uon the easiet terms and with which speed they can. '
