' Mr Chamberlayne was sworn of the Councill.

Mr Collett was proposed, ballotted for and approbved of to be a member.

The President and Councill ordered Eleven Pounds two shillings and six pence to be paid to Dr Arbuthnot to discharge the Fees of the Secretaries Office.

Mr Aston gave Fifty Pounds to the Society for the paying off of the Debt of the Society in Purchasing their Houses, which Mr Pitfield the Treasurer received. The Council returned him their thanks.

The following Proposalls were thought fit to be made Orders of the Councill, and were ordered to be read at the next Meeting of the Society viz;
1. That no Body sit at the Table, but the President at the head, and the two Secretaries towards the lower End, one on one side and the other on the other; Except some very honorable Stranger, at the discretion of the President.
2. If any Paper be read before the Society, it shall be minuted, and all the principall Parts entered in the Journal, to e read to the Society the next Meeting, which will give an opportunity to the Society to debate of the Particulars.
3. That no Person or Persons talk to one another at the Meetings, or so loud as to interrupt the Business of the Society, but addresse themselves to the President.
4. That all Papers to be read, be translated into English.

The President, Mr Waller, Mr Pitfield, Mr Aston, Mr Balle, Dr Harwood, Dr Sloane, Mr Wren, and any of the Councill, were Nominated a Committee to consider of the Placing the Library and Repository in the House at Crane Court, any three of them to be of the Quorum. This Committee was ordered to take care of the Servant in Crane - Court and the next House.

Mr Isted promised to give Fifty Pounds for the bringing the Society out of Debt, for which he had the thanks of the Councill. '
